With sufficient I/O pins available (and my buttons and enclosure in-hand), I assembled amd wired it all up. I have used four MCP23017 ICs giving me 64 additional I/O pins, sacrificing only 2 of the Arduino GPIO pins for I 2C serial communication with the chips. ![]()
